The research was comprehensive on the effects of the use of marijuana among adolescents and young adults. The research methodology used three categories: those who have never used marijuana, some who use it from time to time, and those who are constantly using it. This may seem to have comprehensive views and results, but it still limits the finding. This is because the research used people who volunteered to participate. Therefore, there is a high possibility some of these people might be lying about how frequently they use or have used the drugs. Most of these people may be honest about the frequency, but some people might lie that they have never used it while they have or constantly do.

The main gap in this research is that it prioritizes on the negative effects of marijuana use. To have comprehensive results, the research should have ample information on both the pros and cons of marijuana. People will start asking why the research only focused on the negatives and did not talk about the positive uses. There have been studies that have shown that marijuana use can have positive impacts in the health department. Therefore, the research should use these studies to gauge how the damage caused by marijuana supersedes all the other positives it may offer.

Therefore, the research should answer the question as to whether there are positive effects of marijuana, expound on them, and then respond to the argument on whether the damages caused by marijuana are so disastrous that the positives cannot compensate for it. Otherwise, the study has ample data to relate marijuana use with the rates of tension and anxiety among young people and the effects that come along due to the continued use of the drug.
