Overview

Create a poster to promote a fictional or existing K-pop music festival in Singapore. The poster should communicate the event details while incorporating strong design principles and creativity.

• Creative concept

Task 1: Design Process

1. Research and collate information needed for the poster
2. Compile the research into ONE PDF document using no more than 10 SLIDES with the following structure:
   • Cover page—title: Graphic Design Assessment
   • Brief summary of the event which includes the event’s purpose, theme, and its target audience
   • Poster: Call to action and hierarchy of information
   • A mood board with visual inspirations (colour palette, typography choices, reference images)
   • A short write-up (100-150 words) explaining the design concept, rationale, and how the poster appeals to the target audience
   • List of References and cite image credits

Task 2: Poster Design using Adobe Illustrator

1. Create a poster based on TASK 1, using basic illustration tools and typography
2. Format A2 size (420 by 594 mm)
3. Contents to include: event title/ date,time and      location/ key visuals and graphics / event description or Tagline/ organizer logos/ contact information or website (if relevant)
4. Package folder including working file of A4 size poster in .ai format, in CMYK colours
