The Final Paper assignment will be a 4 page paper showing your interest in some aspect of the sport leadership.  Assume that you have just been hired as the new executive director of marketing and sales for an extreme sport equipment company located in your home country. You have been assigned a role to direct the expansion of the business into another country. The country you select for this activity should be one for which you have minimal knowledge of the cultural values, norms, and business practices. You have been given authority to hire an assistant director and a marketing staff to execute the new business plan in this country. You have to evaluate the foreign market in the country, introduce the company products, establish a market presence, and work to set and achieve sales goals appropriate to the situation.
For this Paper, prepare a leadership project plan that includes the following elements:
A demographic and psychographic analysis of the country selected.
An analysis of the nine cultural dimensions recognized by GLOBE Project (see table 9.3). This should be the part of the plan that identifies what approaches to business will be most appropriate in the cultural context of the country.
A plan for the type(s) of individuals (relative to leadership attributes and skills) you will want to hire to your team. Indicate specific positions and whether you will plan to hire people from your home country, the country in which you will be doing business, or both. (Refer to the Six Dimensions and Profiles of Leader Behaviors sidebar for information on the six global leadership dimensions identified by the GLOBE Project study).
List and explain what you think will be the three to five most critical elements of leadership necessary to meet the goals of this project.
I suggest you choose one that means something to you and your future as you will put more of your heart into it.  
You must reference a minimum of 3 sources, and at least 2 of them must be from a refereed source (journal article, not popular media).  The paper must be at least 4 pages, Calibri or Times New Roman font, 11 or 12 point, and double-spaced.
