TOPICS
Any topic reasonably related to the materials covered during your time in the program thus far is acceptable;
TOPICS MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE INSTRUCTORS FOR APPROVAL VIA DROPBOX, RESEARCH PAPER TOPIC FOLDER, IN RSPT 2560 ON OR BEFORE 11:59 PM ON June 5, 2022.
Topics ma include, but are not limited to:
Overview of particular aspects of any pulmonary, cardiovascular, or cardiopulmonary disease.
A detailed review of any topic previously covered during the first year of the program, where the paper goes beyond the scope or depth that the topic was covered in the course.
A comparison of any class of respiratory care equipment.
An original study relating to any class of respiratory care equipment. Any related area in which you have a particular interest.
I. Formal Requirements
Papers are to be typed electronically, double spaced, and not less than five (5) or more then eight (8) pages on standard 8.5” x 11” paper (excluding references). Please use APA format for margins and indents.
Completed papers are to be submitted via RSPT 2560 D2L DROPBOX, in RSPT 2560, ONLY ON OR BEFORE 11:59 PM ON July 17th
Only submit papers in a Microsoft word document with the file name consisting of the following: ”RSPT PAPER – [Last name] – PAPER TITLE, e.g., “RSPT Paper – Sims – Cystic Fibrosis.”
Organize the paper by using APA format Including a title page, Abstract, all paragraphs necessary and reference page.

Also, site only sources that you have actually consulted and evaluated. Cite original, peer-reviewed journal articles in preference to textbooks, review articles, abstracts, editorials and or letters.
A MINIMUM OF FIVE (5) CITATIONS TO FIVE (5) DIFFERENT, RELEVANT, PEER-REVIEWED PROFESSIONAL JOURNAL ARTICLES,WEBSITE JOURNAL ARTICLES, OR BOOK AND PUBLISHED WITHIN THE LAST FIVE (5) YEARS ARE REQUIRED.
II. GRADING
Title Page, Abstract & Text 20% Abstract & Text Substance 40% References/Adherence to Formal Requirements (APA format) 20% Correct English grammar, usage and spelling 20%
III. Research Presentations
Students will prepare a power point presentation to share their research topic. Presentations will be made on July 18th.
The power point must include an introduction, body & conclusion. References should be listed and cited throughout the power point.
The power point should be not less than 10 slides and not more than 20 slides and should last no longer than 15 minutes.
When preparing a power point, DO NOT USE ANIMATIONS OR LIGHT LETTERS. The font should be able to be read easily.
