A 3,000-word portfolio (100% of your final mark for the module). The portfolio will comprise of;
- An exploration of routes into your chosen occupation(s). e.g. how and when to apply, what employers are looking for, how competitive is it?
- A reflective summary of key learning experiences from the employability activity and how issues of professional practice relate to key concepts within Childhood and Early Years Studies.
- Consideration of the ways in which the module has informed your career plans (including areas for development and key actions).

Module Specific Assessment Criteria and Rubric
1. Demonstrate an understanding of how the day-to-day realities of professional practice link to key concepts in Childhood and Early Years studies.
2. Demonstrate an understanding of the employment and study routes in to your chosen area(s) of career interest.
3. Develop and articulate employability skills and graduate attributes (networking, presentation, problem solving, communication, self-efficacy, adaptability) employability activities such as through hands on experience in the workplace and direct contact with professionals.
4. Develop inquiry and research skills through engagement with a variety of information sources.
5. Reflect upon ethical issues in practice in relation to children and young people and upon your own values, attributes and interests in relation to your future career.

Work should be double-spaced, and written in Arial or Times New Roman with a font size of 12. Include your student number and the module code (PP0542) in the footer of your portfolio.
