?Over the last few weeks, we??e had the opportunity to read and respond to several of the most influential plays from the 20th century while grappling with how American artists create meaning and convey their observations about some of the deepest issues of their (and our!) time, issues such as social justice, racism, addiction, the delusion of chasing the ??merican Dream??and so on. In response to each play that we??e read, we??e asked ourselves:
