Descriiption: This week you will be building upon the previous Concept Map assignment. The goal is to eventually develop a concept map – translating practice knowledge into conceptual language that is then represented visually. (Please see an example of a finished concept map below for reference) Sample Student Concept Map Graphic
This week, follow the prompts and submit a 1-2 page paper showing your progression toward the final concept map. Discuss how the selected concept is used in nursing (eg, practice, research, theory focus). Discuss how nursing goals are achieved related to the concept. Discuss the knowledge you have and the knowledge you may need to achieve those goals.
Consider how you view the concept. Is it a property or a process? Is it a process or outcome? Begin to sketch out a visual representation of the concept. Discuss the nurse’s role in its management. Requirements: This assignment needs to be submitted following APA format (title page, headings, reference page, etc.). Citations from References that are synthesized from the assigned article, course text, evidence-based and peer-reviewed research articles, and other credible sources are required. A minimum of 3 resources are used. References must be current within 5 years. This assignment will be submitted below through Canvas and automatically run through TurnItIn. Course faculty monitor for the compliance of citations with Turnitin evaluation of the assignment during the course session.
