Pick a topic related to a personal decision that you would like to map. For example, many students map out getting a new apartment as a decision. Students will create a concept map to illustrate his or her level of understanding of applying the scientific method to problem-solving and decision-making.

Concept mapping is a skill for business managers to use to communicate systems knowledge.  The ability to make decisions and problem solve using a framework and ethical lens is crucial for employees.  Since students typically do not have this experience in the workplace yet, the exploration of an important personal decision can help illustrate.
