How can we educate people about the benefits of hospice?

A friend of mine died this year. She had hospice for many months. I can’t help but wonder if she might have died sooner without ‘help’, which sounds callous, but I don’t mean it to be. She was ‘gone’ mentally last summer but her family just had to wait for her to give out, it was tragic. Lovely woman, one of the most important of my life. Her name was Dianne.

How do we avoid this kind of outcome?
