When presenting the new store manager, Prado must be creative enough to ensure she is not rejected as his former choice. He should establish a rapport by introducing the manager to the staff himself. He should encourage them and show them that the incoming manager will address the weakness of the outgoing manager. The best time to introduce the manager to the organization is the morning at the beginning of the week, to give the new manager a chance to interact with employees during the day and entire week. Prado is supposed to sympathize with the employees on the failures of the outgoing managers and emphasize on the strength and experience of the incoming manager. He should make the employees have a sense of belonging and have a positive attitude toward the incoming manager. It is better to quote the current performance of the store to give employees and incoming manager challenge to make the organization perform. Below is an example of a conversation that Prado can address his employee as to establish a rapport with the new manager.
The staff of Victoria store, it is my great pleasure to present to you a new manager of the Victoria store. I had heard your grievances as the entire staff of Victoria store that you are not satisfied with the outgoing manager Mr. Daniel Oliveira. As the regional manager, I usually care about the teamwork and dedication of the employees. Without the teamwork and dedication, our store will not be successful because apparel business is becoming competitive now and then. I was shocked when three most experienced supervisors and team leader threatened to quit their job and go to work to our close competitors due to management. That could be the end of our organization, so I decided to act without hesitation. Considering the general performance of the store in the last few month and the report, I gathered from you as the entire staff of Victoria store I see I went astray of selecting a young non-experienced person to be the store manager. I apologize for that; today is the great day that will mark a turning point for the performance of our store. Together with the management team, we selected a new who have vast of experience as a senior manager in most of our stores for many years. I expect you will give her maximum cooperation; I wish entire staff success in all their duties.”
