Explain. c) Describe a natural environment near your home or college where fossil preservation may be taking place. What does this environment provide to enhance preservation? d) If a fossil brachiopod were found to be composed entirely of pyrite, would you suspect that replacement had taken place? Why? e) How would you distinguish among rugose, tabulate and scleractinian corals?
