After reading August Wilson’s Fences and reviewing the Elements of Literature handout provided, write a two page essay exploring how one of the elements of literature contributed to Wilson’s development of a central theme in his play and the way in which it impacted you as a member of the audience. Be mindful that this is a brief essay, so you must remain tightly focused on your subject, perhaps limiting yourself to a single impactful moment in the play in which the central theme made was intensely felt by you through use of an element of literature, a scene that made strong use of that particular element.
This essay is to be written in MLA style, with proper in-text citations, a Works Cited page, the four line heading, the header with your last name and page number in the upper right hand corner of each page, double-spaced, in Times New Roman 12. It must be uploaded as a Word docx or PDF. No other manner of turning the assignment in will be accepted.
