Crisis Agency Presentation (Final Exam – worth 100 points). Students will identify and present on an agency that provides crisis services in the Midlands or surrounding area. Students will choose an agency at the beginning of the semester no later than midterm. Students will be expected to provide additional resources to supplement their presentation to include brochures, flyers or other materials relevant to their agency. Additionally, PowerPoint, poster board, flyers or other visuals that will aid peers in understanding the agency and the services offered by this agency. The purpose of the presentation and the materials is to provide students with a better understanding and a greater awareness of crisis resources available in our community. Students must also submit a one (1) page summary of the agency. This summary must reflect the APA format style of writing which includes: cover page, abstract, running head, double spacing, page numeration and reference page (Failure to adhere to the APA format will result in a lower grade). Please utilize the Academic Success Center if you need assistance. Papers will be evaluated on content and delivery. An assessment rubric will be provided prior to assignment.
