In your essay, you should:
Answer all parts of each of the sections below.
Use specific, cited, direct evidence (details, examples, and quotes) from the textbook and at least five of the primary sources to support your answers and bring out insightful interpretations. Please note you do NOT have to summarize each source; rather, you should support your analysis with evidence from the sources.
Use correct spelling and grammar.
Write 6 full pages long, not including the works cited page, so 1,800-2,000 words total for the document, double-spaced, 12-point font. Your paper should be in paragraph form, organized in the 3 sections outlined above.
Citations:
Include quotes from the sources throughout your assignment, and use in-text parenthetical citations or footnotes to clarify which source the quote comes from. History as a discipline uses Chicago style citations and you will find a Chicago-style bibliography entry at the bottom of each source provided, but I am fine with any style you are most comfortable with (MLA, APA, etc.) You should include a bibliography or works cited at the end of your paper. In your bibliography or works cited, include the textbook, the (at least) 5 primary sources you used, and the outside source you find.
