Race is how people distinguish a group for biological or socially attributed aspects. My race is how I view myself because I don’t care how people think about me. This is my race and this is how I was born with this skin color. I’m white and I’m proud to be white and I respect all other skin colors black or white are the same to me. I don’t have any problem with any people that are black and white as well. Everyone is happy with what they have. The video helps me understand that not all people are going to like our skin color, they will sometimes make us want to change our skin color, but that shouldn’t happen, we all need to be proud of our race. Our skin color does not define who we are. I love to learn about a new culture and other people with different skin colors.

Race is the way people distinguish a group of people for biological or socially attributed aspects. I honestly have never cared how other people perceive me; my ethnicity is how I see myself. I am confident in who I am and how I am because I am aware of my origins and the nature of my society. I am extremely proud of my race, and nobody can make me alter my mind. Since I’m African American, most people who meet me or become friends with me inquire if I’m blended race. I am not at all confused. I have light skin and emerald eyes, but I am completely black. Some people mistake mixed (black and white) and light complexion. Even after I demonstrate that I am black, some people still reject my race and label me as mixed. The video helped me realize that not everyone will like our skin color; they may occasionally make us want to alter it, but that shouldn’t happen; we should all be proud of our race. Who we are does not depend on the hue of our skin.
