—————-
As a leader, how you determine to analyze a case is crucial. There are three main steps
involved:
1- Gain the attention of your audience. Identify the key issues that the organization is facing
with regard to what you are analyzing. The more fact based and pertinent the issues, the better. The Levy issues for example are found under Developing and Executing the Plan on this date:
Recovery Plan Announcement & Reaction
Please read this Beth Israel Deaconess Case Study article as it will also provide good context and issues for the Levy case and provides several “mini-case studies” as exemplars. http://www.health.org.uk/sites/default/files/BethIsraelDeaconessCaseStudy.pdf (Links to an external site.)
2- Evaluate the possible courses of action that could be chosen with clear, objective criteria
or factors for this evaluation. Support your decision on which criteria or factors are important with peer reviewed research. In the sample How tos we reviewed I analyzed Levy using research including Langabeer’s 4 factors and Marquardt’s 6 elements.
3- Analyze the effectiveness of the course of action chosen with peer reviewed research. Langabeer’s 4 factors provided a good measurement to analyze Levy’s effectiveness.
You will also want to Add Charts and visuals: You can create interest in your case analysis using compelling graphs or charts that present important trends or data.Case study with Munter’s Macro Issues.
