Capella assessments are not marked on a single overall impression. Each one comes with a scoring guide, and every criterion on it is rated separately as Non-performance, Basic, Proficient or Distinguished. In FlexPath you need Proficient or better on every criterion to pass, so one weak section can send the whole paper back for revision.
Turn each criterion into a heading
Copy the criteria into your document and use each one as a heading. It feels mechanical, but it makes it easy for your faculty reviewer to find the evidence for every row of the guide. Rewrite the headings into plain titles once the draft is finished.
Read the Distinguished column, not the Proficient one
The Distinguished description usually adds one extra move: identifying assumptions, explaining a knowledge gap, or linking a point to a specific outcome. Plan that extra move into your outline from the start rather than bolting it on.
Use recent, credible evidence
Most nursing assessments expect scholarly sources from the last five years. Pull them from the Capella library, and check APA 7 formatting for the reference list, headings and in-text citations before you submit.
When you are short on time
