Part 1: Proposal for Blended Learning in a South African
School
Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 and the subsequent delays and changes in the
schooling system, many schools had to re-think their teaching and learning.
Drawing from relevant literatures, your experiences in the school during teaching
practice as well as our discussions / lecture on blended learning, propose a
blended learning solution for a school in response to the change in schooling. You
can select the school where you completed your 1st term teaching practice or
your second year TP school. Your proposal should clearly show your
understanding of blended learning and the models of blended learning.
Additionally, your proposal should highlight the type / types of blended learning
solution suitable for the school and the rationale for your choice while taking into
consideration the diversity (digital divide – accessibility of technology, technology
literacy, cost-effectiveness etc) of the learner population in the school.
